ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Nataliia Halchynska is the Founder & Director of The Liia Studio. Educated in Linguistics, Modern Languages, & Literature, and certified by Cambridge, she later completed a Master’s in Business & Digital Transformation in Germany. Her path combines cultural scholarship with entrepreneurial & investment experience. She founded two startups & later worked as an Investment Associate at a German investment banking firm — experiences that shaped her ability to unite heritage, innovation, & finance within the art world.
Born into the Halchynsky family — with roots tracing back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire & further to Kyivan Rus — she was raised in Kyiv in a household steeped in knowledge, culture, & tradition. Her father, a scientist in biology & chemistry, & her mother, a teacher of Russian & French literature, instilled in her a reverence for intellectual depth & classical heritage. Piano & violin were part of her upbringing, alongside equestrian riding, a passion for chess, & classical studies. Fluent in five languages, she grew up surrounded by opera, theatre, museums, & organ concerts — nurturing a lifelong appreciation for harmony, symbolism, & beauty. Having lived extensively across Europe & the US, with formative years in Rome, Venice, London, Vienna, & New York, she now divides her time between Milan & New York, bridging cultural & artistic traditions on a global stage.
All of these experiences shaped her vision for Contemporary European Classicism — a mission to revive timeless forms & safeguard Europe’s classical soul in the present age. Through The Liia Studio, she unites artists, collectors, & institutions with discretion & sophistication, ensuring this heritage endures as a living force in contemporary art.
